At night she spreads her wings
She dreams of bigger things
She floats above the town
She sings without a sound
She can be anywhere at all
She can be anyone at all
A glow and then a shine
What she hoped she would find

She's got a picture in her mind

She left the world behind

I am no angel. I am no imp. I am no faerie, no savior, no knight, no princess. I am like no human you have ever seen. I am a survivor. A reluctant sailor. A relishing poet. A writer of stories, including my own. My world is filled with colors and sounds and music and words and words and words that spill out of me like a waterfall. I am spectacle. I am seclusion. I am mind. I am heart. I am whole, yet incomplete. I am an entity, ethereal and corporeal simultaneously. And yes, in many ways, I am an angel...but only at night, you see. Then I can spread my wings, my giant white wings and float away through a starpocked sky where only the demons and the nightwalkers can see me.
